Ritalin day 1

I got the prescription for Ritalin 40 mg LA.
So I went to the local pharm and got it.

Here is a bit of a funny things that happen to people with conditions:

My Neurologist gave me prescription for LA 40mg but told me that she left a note for my Family Doctor to up the dose to 60 mg if 40 does nothing.
She also mentioned that there are 40mg and 20 mg capsules and I need to take them both if I will get them
I forgot that part.
Now in my pharm they treat ritalin as if it was something shady AF. You get the long stares and what not. And those people know me for years, but they don't know that I'm a hightech engineer but rather a part time laborer or something.




A bit of a cultural offset here: Russian related cultures are 90% laborers but they also consider this to be  a defect or something. A pharmacist will feel 100% in his right to look at you from above.

So thinking that, they also think that I'm half alcoholic and close to being a drug abuser. (how nice!)
So while they take care of my order I casually ask if they have the same medicine but in 60mg. The look I got... Man... He actually made me feel guilty!

Anyway back to experiences:

took it at 11:10, felt the effect at 12:30 at least. Had a minor headache before taking it, since the morning (rare for me).
Had a good working day, managed to do some time consuming tasks, and was able to type fast etc. I will write the positive effects in another time see below why)
started feeling more Headache towards the end of the day, maybe at 5PM onwards
At approx 7PM started feeling tiredness, quick change, almost immediate
Got sore throat - almost impossible to make the first swallow
At 7:30 PM - Sudden chills, very strong, I almost never felt such thing. I immediately stopped everything and put a set of warm clothes (unusual for me, last winter I wore warm clothing only 1 day)

Still was shaking, the headache was very strong. Put the kid to sleep. Took an advil 200mg
Tried to sleep - could not get to it, almost did few times but stayed on the edge of sleeping for 2.5 hours
My muscules started hurting a bit here and there.
Later when i went to sleep for the second time, I barely managed to do it. I was fidgety, not comfortable with any pose.

Here is the big but though:

This week, both my kids got 39 fewer and stayed at home with me. So I might have got the flu from them.
Earlier this week I went to my first in along time sport training with a coach. I am very knowledgeable and experienced in it but haven't trained for 2 years. So getting injured or at least sore in weird places was suppose to happen.

Meaning - I have no Idea what the side effects of Ritalin I had.
It might be all, or none. Ritalin has every single bad thing listed in its effects, very hard to figure it out.
